Andrew is a trial advocate. He has run serious criminal matters as counsel — murder, sexual offences, child sex offences, drug trafficking and family violence — and appears regularly in the Magistrates', County and Supreme Courts of Victoria, the Federal Circuit and Family Court, the Federal Court, and VCAT. Admitted in every Australian state and territory, he has also acted in New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
He maintains a substantial family law practice: complex property proceedings and parenting matters, including child abduction and spend-time disputes. He is experienced in high-risk matters — family violence, allegations of child sexual abuse, and vulnerable children.
His civil work covers commercial litigation, motor vehicle accident claims, insurance disputes, debt recovery, Owners Corporation and consumer disputes, with particular experience defending mortgage repossession proceedings for homeowners. He also acts in contested wills, appearing in the Supreme Court in disputes over the validity of a will.
